There is a wide range of preparations for fish and seafood. It can be sautéed, pan fried, deep fried, broiled, baked or poached.
Care should be taken to avoid overcooking fish. Prolonged heat dries out the delicate flesh. Overcooking is responsible for turning a lot of people against fish.
Most shellfish are delicious cold as well as hot. It is good to have shrimp in the freezer for a quick meal by thawing and boiling to use as an appetizer or a meal with a baked potato and salad. Shrimp is very versatile; it can be prepared and served with a pasta dish; or used in shrimp creole and served over rice.
