Dewberry Cobbler

"A dish of Dewberry Cobbler with Ice Cream,
It doesn't get any better.!"



This recipe is a quick and easy dessert that will make you a hero to your guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1 1/2 cup dewberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk

DIRECTIONS:

    Preheat oven to 350°

    Wash fresh berries or place frozen ones in casserole dish with butter.

    Heat slowly on stove top until butter melts and berries thaw.

    In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients.

    Add milk and stir until well blended.

    Pour into casserole dish.

    Butter, juice and some berries will come to top. Leave them that way.

    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until dough rises to top and browns.
