Sautee beef cubes in large skillet till no longer red.Add mushrooms, consommé, wine, garlic, and onion salt.
Heat to boiling. Reduce heat cover and simmer till meat is tender (30-60 min.).
Blend cornstarch and water; stir gradually into meat mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly till mixture thickens; boil and stir 1 min.
Serve over hot, cooked rice.
