Cream butter and sugar.Beat in eggs.
Stir in bananas, buttermilk and vanilla.
Add flour, bran flakes, soda, salt and nuts.
Stir just until well combined.
Spread batter into 2 greased and floured loaf pans (8 1/2" X 41/2").
Bake 350° until bread test done with a wooden toothpick.(50-60 minutes)Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.
