Apple Crisps Recipe

This Apple Crisps Recipe is good as a stand alone dessert. Give it a try; I think you will like it. You can also use Blueberries or Peaches for this Easy Dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 10 medium apples
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS:

    Preheat oven to 350°.In a medium bowl combine apples with brown sugar, salt cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.

    Toss and mix well.

    Place in baking dish that has been brushed with melted butter.

    Melt peanut butter, butter and vanilla in a small pan over low heat.

    Remove from heat and stir in flour and oats and mix well.

    Spread oat mixture evenly over apples.

    Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until crisp.

Place apples in 8-inch (2-quart) square microwave-safe dish with melted butter.

Sprinkle with salt, cinnamon and nutmeg and vanilla.

Combine remaining ingredients and mix until crumbly.

Sprinkle over apples.

Microwave on high for 12-14 minutes or until fruit is tender, rotating dish 1/4 turn during cooking.

VARIATIONS:
BLUEBERRY CRISP: Substitute blueberries for the apples.

PEACH CRISP: Substitute sliced, peeled peaches for the apples.
